Man, that is a lovely car! Ive been (secretishly) looking at 240z’s, the problem is however, that I’d want one to daily and Im not too sure how daily-friendly they are (Im not skilled in carbed engines...:(..)

Thanks, well it would depend on where you live. In SF it would be a nightmare, rough streets, lots of SUVs I can’t see around or actually I can’t see around normal cars.... Yeah my friend’s shop tunes it, the one time I tried the triple carbs I totally fucked it up and he had to come by to do it.

I live in Holland, Europe, so visibillity would be of no concern at all. If I decide to do it, I’d probably swap in an RB25/26 into it (I know, blasphemy in a ‘restore it’ guys eyes).

Well, it’s mainly the hills here. Yeah don’t swap a 240, if you have to swap find a 260 or 280. It’s also way more fun to rev the original engine with triple Webers, I wouldn’t want it any other way. I also swapped in a 5 speed from a later 260, it makes it a better car as well, and disks in the rear to replace the drums helps too.
